Dealing with small time Indian suppliers who have no established business credibility is FRAUGHT with difficulty. Indians ofen operate by making a pretence that they have a business and instead simply act as unofficial self-appointed 'agents' of other businesses. They attempt to obtain orders, then run aournd and try to sell the order to a legitimate supplier, often for a huge commission which comes out of the money paid to the real supplier. There are NO gaurantees of delivery of product, nor of the stated quality of the product. Often the product delivered is CONSIDERABLY lower than the quality stated. As a buyer you get caught once with a $50,000 purchase that is unsaleable or is worth only $5000 and having learnt your lesson you never buy again that way. Buyers typically DUMP the goods and take what they can get out of their purchase, usually losing thousands.
Recomendation:
DO NOT deal with inexperienced, unknown suppliers who have no credibility.
Reach your supplier through proper methods. Try 'Alibaba' or one of the Indian supply channels on the net.
Obtain all detail of the company you deal with.
Never accept less than an outfit that at least has a website that is OBVIOUSLY genuine. MANY Indian business websites are hollow and are shams.
If you really must deal with someone who lives in a tiny apartment with no business name, company, corporate structure, established credibility then I wish you the jolly best of luck.
