This idea is actually directed to those in charge of the Small Business Forum. Sure, the Finance Section provides a space for individuals to share advice and to advertise the need to find investors. But what about the concern of having investors with money that are looking for ideas and business opportunities to invest in. This would, in a way, ease the strains of finding a partnership for both entrepreneurs and financiers of business. I want to hear from the voices of people that wants to support business ventures and wouldn't mind helping startups. What do you think?

I am looking around the forum for opportunities to invest and, while there are lots of requests for investment, there's no place to go for advice on how to assess the proposals. So an investors' forum would be great.

I think that you make a very good point. I work with investors and most are very successful. Some are as powerful if not more powerful than the banks. Most are not interested in doing business with small businesses. Your idea is good and there is a need for it, but it won't happen. Investors don't need anyone's help, that is the problem. This is a fact of life. We as human beings, employees, businesses etc...usually only ask for assistance if we are in desperate need of aid. If you're looking for small investors, then chances are they don't have the money, tools, or resources that you demand. They can't take any chances. If you could get the big investors, then anything is possible. The big investors can afford to lose some money, they have hundreds of millions of dollars, and you may only need 1 million. But again, these guys are almost impossible to contact, unless you have an inside person.
This is what I bring to the table. I am a liason for small businesses and big investors. I work with businesses domestically and internationally. One company that I am associated with is a business that owns over 500 branches world-wide, and 90 some branches in the U.S. I know what I am talking about.
If any small business needs to be pointed in the right direction, here is your opportunity, here I am, just post a reply. I do real business with real and honest investors, so don't waste my time. Anyone seeking to do business with me will be researched heavily. Make sure that you have good credit and have assets worth what you are asking for. No investor will invest in you if they are not going to get anything in return...They are the ones putting up the money, you just have to prove that you can do what you say you can do.Good luck to all small businesses seeking to expand, or just survive...I'm here if you need me...
