Tell me what you guys think of this idea:

A website that contains direct-links to forums catagorized by geographical location, genre (automotive, web design, etc), and rank. Each forum-link would come with a thumbnail that you could easily view and a small description of what the forum has to offer.

The links would be submitted by forum members, owners or anyone of the like. There would be moderator restrictions so the links would be screened before being placed on the site for public viewing.

I figure a site like this would simplify the process of searching for relevant communities located on the internet, given that the site grew and became popular.

Thoughts?
