Default rapackaging and reselling?

If I bought 3 physical items and put them all together into 1 package. Is it legal for me to resell the 1 package with my own name?

ex. casio calculator-notebook-Pilot pen = student scribble pack. by Company Name.

I think it probably is if they're all different well known brand names, but I'm pretty sure you can get supplies of things from companies that specifically allow you to resell them in packages... or, perhaps better, you could decide what you want in your packs then order them from somewhere that'll make them for you with your name on.

It is difficult to give legal advice on issues like this, because the law is very specific and it depends on the exact details of what you are looking to do. For example it is illegal to sell certain products to under 18's, sell certain products in some countries or to sell certain products unless you have a specific qualification to sell them.

You must also be careful that you are not passing off your offering as being from a particular brand or a company that has IP protection over the goods.

However, saying all that, in many cases it is legal to do what you want to do. Eg this is what hamper companies do at Christmas time.

Be sure to check with the original company first that it's OK.

They can probably afford better lawyers than you can

In fact, if you can introduce them to a new market, they might even provide you some financial renumeration.

Thank you for all your responces.

What I want to do is buy a bunch of huggie diapers from Costco, and package them into a 5 pack with my own packaging company and resale them.
Is this legal?
If not Who would I contact if I wanted to this.

How do you expect to make money off of this?

You would have to charge more than Costco charges, to pay for repackaging, shipping, etc. and still make a profit.

So why wouldn't people just buy them directly from Costco at the cheaper price?

If it was me, though I'm not at all interested in this market, I would just search for http://www.google.com/search?q=whole...L_enGB177GB177 and see if any of the results bring up companies that could make you some of the products and actually put your brand name on them.

If you did this, you would need to market your brand so that people would think that it is worth paying extra money to get something with your brand name on it.

You might want to do some research on white labeling

That would be hard..maybe you can apply to be a middlemen with them instead..become a wholesaler of huggies.
